THE DRAGON

Did you know that the United States covers exactly one-third of the globe longitudinally? I'm not talking about in square miles --- I'm talking about from the easternmost edge to the western-. To an alien from another planet, it would look as if we had done it deliberately.

The easternmost edge of the United States is of course simultaneously the easternmost edge of Maine, which falls at exactly 67 degrees West Longitude. Likewise, the westernmost edge is not the west coast of North America, but the last island in the Aleutians belonging to Alaska; it falls at exactly 173 degrees East Longitude, or 7 degrees over the line into the Eastern Hemisphere; the equivalent of this in degrees West Longitude is 187. The difference between 187 and 67 degrees West Longitude is exactly 120 degrees, or one-third of a circle.

So how did that happen?

The implication is that the world can be divided into thirds or "tritaspheres," with the United States sweeping out one complete third. If so, the dividing line between the remaining two thirds will fall about 7 degrees west of the Ural Mountains in western Asia, dividing Asia from Russia.

So separated, the world will look like this:

By a very strange coincidence, the constellation DRACO THE DRAGON sweeps out one-third of the night sky longitudinally --- from the last star in its tail to the mean bend in its neck:

When I first noticed this back in the 90's, I began to wonder:

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I ALIGNED THE THIRD OF THE NIGHT SKY SWEPT OUT BY DRACO WITH THE THIRD OF THE EARTH SWEPT OUT BY THE UNITED STATES? WHAT CONSTELLATIONS IN THE NIGHT SKY WOULD OTHER NATIONS ON EARTH CORRESPOND TO?

So I decided to give it a try: I aligned the constellation DRACO with the third of the earth swept out by the United States --- and nothing happened; the experiment went nowhere. For one thing, DRACO did not align with the United States, but fell on the border between the United States and Canada.

I was about to give up when I remembered that there were still two more "thirds" on the other side of the world; the United States only represented one of them. So I tried aligning DRACO with the next third of the earth west of the United States, the one that fell over Asia.

And that's when the magic happened.

DRACO ended up falling over Asia --- have you ever seen a Chinese parade that didn't have a dragon? And Asia is home to the Gobi Desert: in some places, you can walk along the ground and see dinosaur skeletons lying directly on the surface, exposed by erosion.

But the correlations do not end there. Aligning the third of the night sky occupied by DRACO with the third of the earth swept out by Asia also results in DRACO and three adjoining constellations corresponding to places here on earth that are associated with the same four animals; to wit:

DRACO, as stated, ends up aligning with Asia.

URSA MAJOR, "THE GREAT BEAR," ends up falling over Russia; Russia has historically been known as "The Russian Bear."

LEO, THE LION, ends up corresponding to Africa --- so where do lions come from?

And the constellation LYNCIS, "THE LYNX," ends up falling over Europe; the animal after which it is named is native to Europe, and is also known as the "European Wildcat."

Now here is where the correlations get hairy.

I'm an atheist. But I go where the evidence leads me.

By a very strange coincidence, Revelation Chapter 12 describes a "cosmic battle" between a celestially-clad "WOMAN" and an equally ethereal "DRAGON," whose "tail draws t he third part of the stars of heaven and casts them to the earth."

The chapter goes on to say that THE DRAGON is accompanied by a companion, which is made up of components from three other animals:

What is strange about this description is that these are the same three animals portrayed by the constellations: DRACO, THE LYNX, THE BEAR, and THE LION --- with the "leopard" standing in for THE LYNX! (NOTE: Throughout the Bible, all cats are called leopards except lions.)

Based on these correlations, the original description of "THE DRAGON" of Revelation 12 takes on a whole new meaning:

It's an instruction! It's telling you to (a) align the constellation DRACO THE DRAGON with a third of the earth in a certain way, then (b) project its stars down onto the earth --- and when you do you will get a correlation between DRACO AND THREE ADJOING CONSTELLATIONS with places here on earth that are associated with the same four animals!

This causes THE DRAGON AND ITS COMPANIONS to correspond to places on earth --- Asia, Russia, Africa, and Europe:

So who or what does the "woman" in the story represent?
